Departure

Having just departed my previous job for the last time, I found myself waiting to board this plane. There’s something special about this plane because it decides to sit at the gate for an additional two hours after being fully boarded. I’ve dealt with taxiing delays, but there’s a special agony attached to boarding and sitting indefinitely, staring at the airport.

Josh (my travel pal) and I ended up missing our connecting flight in Miami. I love Miami. I just don’t love an unexpected late night layover in the Holiday Inn in Miami Springs. Around 3am, I decided to capture the not-so-beautiful scenery through the dirty glass of our window.

Arrival

Good things come to those who wait (in Miami Springs).

lots of walking

If you’ve been to Atlantis before, you know it’s a lot of walking. Josh had not been and discovered this quickly, though, to this day debates my natural way-finding abilities.
